A gift is not just for Christmas...
Over the Christmas period we ran a search to find our Helping Hands Project partner for 2018. We had so many extraordinary charities put forward, and it was incredibly difficult to come to a decision. We went through a voting process based on set criteria and values fit.
We wish we could help them all - so we are! We are inviting the charities nominated to a workshop where we will offer some hints and tips on improving their marketing.
But without further ado, we can reveal...
The winner is...
We are pleased to announce that our chosen charity partner for 2018 is Cromford Mills - The Arkwright Society.
Why we chose this charity...
We came to this decision based on a whole host of factors:
- We felt that our values aligned.
- We were completely won over by the story the Cromford Mill has to tell, and we simply wanted to help them tell that story.
- We loved the history of the site and the many incarnations it has taken over the years and were inspired by the role the site could take on in the future.
The scope for this charity to expand is huge, and they have already done some fantastic work in the past. Cromford Mills has come such a long way since being derelict in the 1970s, and their team has much more planned for the site.
They themselves describe Cromford Mills as a “hidden gem - and this is our problem”, they not only need our help to define the brand and market, but they want Cromford Mills on the international stage. It is a UNESCO world heritage site, but hardly anyone knows!
Cromford Mills were over the moon when we broke the news to them, Conference Officer Bob Furniss told us he couldn't wait to get started:
“When we first received news that we’d been chosen for the Helping Hands Project the office was in disbelief... which quickly turned to excitement and then to all out celebration! The project comes along at just the right time for us, and to have been successful with our application felt simply wonderful (and on a Friday afternoon!). The opportunity to work with Katapult means we have the ideal platform to kick start our marketing plans for 2018”
